Guan Guihai was Invited by International Academic Workshop of “New Sino-Russia Partnership in the Changing World”

From May 28 to May 30, 2015, Prof. Guan Guihai, Vice President of Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), was invited an international academic workshop entitled “New Sino-Russia Partnership in the Changing World” in Moscow, Russia. The conference, co-sponsored by Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the Far East Division of Russian Academy of Sciences (FED RAS), invited 12 Chinese scholars from Fudan University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, China Institute of International Studies, Tsinghua University, East China Normal University, Liaoning University, Xiamen University, and Peking University. Distinguished guests appearing in the opening ceremony included Sergei Razov, Chairman of the Russian side of China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), Li Hui, Chinese Ambassador to Russia, I. Ivan, President of RIAC and former Foreign Minister of Russia, and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov.

Delegates highlighted in succession that, this year, China and Russia should start the most significant mission to boost the construction of Silk Road economic belt and cooperate to develop Europe-Asia Economic Alliance; while the most important collaboration falls on maintaining the fruits of victory in World War II (WWII) and the international order after WWII and proceeding to drive the international relationship and order towards a more fair and reasonable direction.
