On November 19, 2024, Mr. Benjamin Spells, First Secretary of the Political Section of the British Embassy in China, accompanied by Mr. Haiden Cocking, Second Secretary, and Mr. Jiang Yang, Chinese Secretary, visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). They engaged in discussions with Associate Professor Gui Yongtao, Vice President of IISS, on topics including major powers relations, China's relations with neighboring countries, and regional and global hot issues.

Research Assistant Chen Danmei from the IISS also attended the meeting.
