At the invitation of the School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University, Associate Professor Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President, Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), attended the academic seminar of the "20th Anniversary of the Founding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO): Retrospect and Prospect" in Lanzhou on April 10, 2021 and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Russia and Central Asia's Perceptions of the SCO".

Approximately 30 well-known scholars from prestigious domestic universities and research institutions with the research focus on Russia, Central Asia and international organizations participated in the seminar. They had in-depth and rational discussions on cutting-edge issues such as the SCO’s achievements and challenges, goals and methods, cooperation and competition within the organization.
