Executive Vice President Guan Guihai Participated the Roundtable Conference on Sino-Russian Strategic Cooperation to Ensure Security in Afghanistan Following U.S. Withdrawal

On Dec 20, 2022, Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and Director of The Center for Modern Russian Studies of PKU, was invited to participate in the roundtable conference entitled Sino-Russian Strategic Cooperation to Ensure Security in Afghanistan Following U.S. Withdrawal (online, in Russian), co-hosted by Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and Media Center of Russian News. At the conference, Guan Guihai made a speech on the common and different interests of China and Russia in Afghanistan.

This roundtable conference also witnessed the release of a research report with same name in Russian which was written jointly by IISS, PKU and RIAC. It is the second research report finished based on cooperation between think tanks of China and Russia. Both reports were strongly supported and sponsored by The Tung Foundation of IISS, PKU.
