On June 11, 2024, a delegation from the Asia Society Policy Institute's Center for China Analysis visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). Members of the delegation include Qian Jing, Co-founder and Managing Director of the Center for China Analysis at the Asia Society Policy Institute, Senior Fellows Jessica Chen Weiss and Lyle Morris, Researcher Neil Thomas, and Business Coordinator Ma Wenxuan. They were accompanied by Wang Yingchun, Deputy Director of the Seventh Bureau, Pan Yiping, Deputy Director of the Division of the United States and Canada, and Wang Sitian, a third-level principal staff member, all of whom are from the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC. The delegation engaged in discussions with Prof. Yu Tiejun, President of IISS, Prof. Wang Jisi, Founding President of IISS, Senior Researchers and Associate Professors Wu Bingbing, Jie Dalei, Lei Shaohua and Assistant Professor Qi Haotian. Both sides exchanged opinions on a range of topics, including U.S.-China relations, technological competition, and the U.S. presidential election. Hu Ran, Program Manager of IISS and Ph.D. candidate at the School of International Studies, PKU, along with Ma Li’ao, Research Assistant at IISS, also attended the meeting.
