“International Symposium on the Security Situation in Northeast Asia" Held at IISS, PKU

From June 25 to 26, 2014, the “International Symposium on the Security Situation in Northeast Asia” was held in the Lakeview Hotel of Peking University, which was jointly organized by the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University (PU) and the Institute of International & Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). Prof. Wang Jisi, Dean President of IISS, PKU and Prof. John Ikenberry from PU attended and co-hosted the symposium. Experts from China, the United States, Japan, and Korea gathered to make thorough discussion on the current and future development trends of the security situation in Northeast Asian, as well as the possible cooperative areas among these countries, so as to provide references for governmental decisions.

On June 24, 2014, five members of the U.S. delegation went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and paid a visit to Mr. Xu Bu, Deputy Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both parties exchanged their ideas on common interested issues.
