President Wang Jisi and Senior Research Fellow Wu Bingbing Pay a Visit to Saudi Arabia

At the invitation of Saud Al-Sarhan, Secretary-general of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (hereinafter referred to as the Center), Prof. Wang Jisi, President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and Wu Bingbing, Senior Research Fellow of IISS, PKU paid a visit to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia from April 4 to 8, 2017. They attended the International Symposium on “the Gulf Countries and China” held by the Center and delivered a key speech respectively. Abdullatif al-Zayani, Secretary-general of Gulf Cooperation Council, together with some officials, Li Huaxing, Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and diplomats of different countries in Saudi Arabia attended this Symposium. During the visit, Wang Jisi and Wu Bingbing paid an official visit to Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Director of the Center and Secretary-general Saud Al-Sarhan. They exchanged views on a wide range of international issues and China-Saudi Arabia relations. President Wang Jisi and Wu Bingbing also visited the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on invitation and had an informal discussion with Ambassador Li Huaxin, Counselor Zhu Xinglong and other officials. Wang Jisi accepted the Appointment Letter of “Honorary Researcher” granted by the Center. He also visited the office of Huawei Technologies and Consulting Corporation in Riyadh and their exhibition room on invitation.
