Wang Jisi, President of IISS, attends the International Symposium Entitled “Asia-Pacific’s Future: the New Stage of Peace and Development”

On Oct. 6th, 2017, Wang Jisi, President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) was invited to visit Tokyo and attend the international symposium co-held by Meiji Institute for Global Affairs (MIGA) and Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI) entitled “Asia-Pacific’s Future: the New Stage of Peace and Development”. Participants of the dialogue included Kevin Rudd, President of ASPI and former Australia’s Prime Minister, Yoriki Kawaguchi, former Japanese foreign minister and Ichiro Fujisaki, former Japan’s ambassador to the United States, etc. The present experts discussed hot issues, such as Sino-US Relations and the situation on Korean Peninsula, explored the possibility of establishing comprehensive security architecture in Asia-Pacific Region, and answered questions of the audience.
