On December 11th, 2018, Prof. Wang Jisi, President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), attended the lecture entitled "Global Ecological Crisis: Chinese and Western Perspectives" at the invitation of Georgetown University, and gave a speech on China's development of ecological civilization. Another keynote speaker of the lecture was Thomas Friedman, a New York Times columnist.
