Assistant Research Fellow Zhao Jianwei Attends Seminar Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Sweden

From Nov. 10 to 23, 2019, Zhao Jianwei, Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), attended a seminar entitled "Sweden's Construction of Science and Technology Decision-Making Consulting System" organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Sweden for research and study. Members of the seminar were from institutions including the General Office of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Association for Science and Technology, PKU, Zhejiang University, etc. They paid a visit to several Swedish government departments, research institutes, universities and enterprises, including: Sweden's Ministry of Education and Research, Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis, the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, the Ethics Review Boards, the Swedish Research Council, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, the Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Uppsala University, Chalmers University of Technology, AstraZeneca, SKF, etc. They investigated Sweden's innovation policy, innovation systems for industrialization, teaching and research, science and technology decision-making consulting mechanisms, experience in commercialization of research findings, and innovation of large companies.

The seminar members also  paid a visit to Gui Congyou, Chinese Ambassador to Sweden, and had a discussion with him.
