
On the morning of August 30, 2021, Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and Japan Research Platform of Keio Research Institute at SFC co-organized the fourth online academic seminar. Participating guests included Prof. Tomoki Kamo, Prof. Toshihiro Nakayama and Prof. Ken Jimbo from the Faculty of Comprehensive Policy, Keio University, Shingo Ito, Researcher and Director of the Japan Institute of International Economics, and Kikuchi Yona, Researcher and Director of the Japan International Forum. Chinese representatives were Prof. Yu Tiejun, Vice President of IISS PKU and Associate Prof. Gui Yongtao, Associate Prof. Jie Dalei from the School of International Studies (SIS), PKU, and Zhong Feiteng, Researcher of the National Institute of International Strategy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Focusing on the economic order in East Asia, both sides reviewed the trilateral economic interactions between China, the United States and Japan in recent years and analyzed the background and impact of the current adjustment that China and Japan have made on foreign economic strategies as well as the prospects for China and Japan to cooperate further in economy and technology.
