On the afternoon of June 28, 2021, Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and Korea Foundation co-organized the first round of annual dialogue between scholars of both countries. Chinese scholars came from the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC, Renmin University of China, Nankai University, Reference News, Huaqiao University, University of Macao, Peking University and other institutions. Korean scholars were from Dankook University, Korea Institute of National Defense Research and other institutions.

The dialogue was presided over by Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS, Associate Prof. Lee Dongmin from the Department of Politics and Diplomacy of Dankook University and Associate Prof. Li Chunfu from Zhou Enlai School of Government, Nankai University delivered introductory speeches respectively. Both Chinese and Korean scholars had warm discussions and exchanges on the theme of the multilateral security mechanism in Northeast Asia.

This dialogue was part of a series of activities sponsored by Korea Foundation for the 2021 “Network for China’s New Generation of Policy Experts”.
