On the afternoon of December 6, 2021, the " Linjia 7 Salon - Exchange Briefing on Special Envoy Yue Xiaoyong's Visit" was hosted online by the Department of Asian Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Yue Xiaoyong, Special Envoy for Afghan Affairs at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the Salon and delivered a keynote speech. Prof. Wang Jisi, President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), Prof. Zhai Kun, Senior Research Fellow of IISS, PKU, Qian Xuemei, Professor of IISS, PKU and Wu Bingbing, Associate Professor of IISS, PKU, were invited to the Salon. Special Envoy Yue Xiaoyong reviewed his overseas visit over 100 days since his appointment, focusing on Afghanistan´s  domestic political reconciliation, economic reconstruction, restoration of social order and its foreign relations, and exchanged views with experts and scholars attending the Salon.
