On the afternoon of September 2, 2021, Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and Korea Foundation co-organized the second round of the annual video dialogue between scholars from both sides. Chinese scholars came from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Jinan University, University of Macao, Peking University, and CloudBase Digital Technology Co., Ltd. Korean scholars were from Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and other institutions.

The dialogue was presided over by Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS. Baek Seoin, associate research fellow of STEPI and Prof. Chen Dingding of the School of International Studies of Jinan University delivered introductory speeches respectively. Both Chinese and Korean scholars had warm discussions and exchanges on the topic of “Competition and Cooperation in Science and Technology among China, Japan and South Korea”.

This dialogue is part of a series of activities sponsored by Korea Foundation for the 2021 “Network for China’s New Generation of Policy Experts”.
