ZHAI Kun is professor of School of International Studies, Peking University. He used to be the director of Institute of World Political Studies (2011-2014) and the director of South and Southeast Asian and Oceanian Studies (2007-2011), China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR). He is a council member of China People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), China Expert and Eminent Person of ASEAN Regional Forum, Deputy President of China Association of Southeast Asian Studies. His main research fields are Global and Strategic issues, Asia-Pacific，Southeast Asian and Oceanian Studies.
