October 10, 2007, Center for International and Strategic Studies, Peking University, hosted a symposium on China's International Strategic Studies: Introspection and Construction of Paradigms. 25 well-known scholars from institutions such as Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Institute of International Studies, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relation, PLA University of National Defense, Remin University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Peking University, attended. During the symposium, scholars discussed International strategic studies concepts, categories, and methods of research. Constructive opinions and thoughts on the future of China's international strategic studies were also offered. The symposium was chaired by Prof. Yuan Ming, Executive Deputy Director of CISS and Prof. Zhu Feng, Deputy Director of CISS. Prof. Wang Jisi, Director of CISS gave the closing remarks.
