The Midterm Report Meeting of the Research Project “The Historical Contexts and Causes of Deteriorating Sino-Japanese Relations,” held at SIS, PKU

On December 27th, 2013, the Institute of International and Strategic Studies’ research team for the project, “The Historical Contexts and Causes of Deteriorating Sino-Japanese Relations,”, held a midterm report meeting at PKU’s School of International Studies. During the meeting, the team members introduced the background, progress and detailed contents of the research project. Experts on Japanese studies, including Prof. Li Yu, Prof. Li Hanmei, Prof. Liang Yunxiang, Associate Prof. Chu Xiaobo, and Assistant Dean and Associate Prof. Yu Tiejun participated in the meeting, making criticisms and suggestions on the project’s structure, literature review, methods, and arguments. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Dean and Associate Prof. Gui Yongtao, who is also in charge of the research project. The Japanese based Sasakawa Peace Foundation sponsored the research project.
