Symposium for Writers of the Second Phase of the Research Project Entitled “Historical Understanding and the Future of Sino-Japanese Relations” Held at the North Pavilion

On July 27, 2017, the Symposium for the Writers for the Second Phase of the Research Project entitled "Historical Understanding and the Future of Sino-Japanese Relations" was held at the Institute of International & Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). The symposium was presided over by Associate Prof. Yu Tiejun, Vice President of the IISS, PKU. Experts attended the symposium included Zhang Baijia, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society on the Research of the Figures in the History of the Chinese Communist Party, Wang Chaoguang, Vice Director of the institute of World History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Wu Wanhong, Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Japanese Studies, CASS, Wang Jisi, President of the IISS, PKU, and Prof. Li Hanmei, School of International Studies. The writers discussed writing guidelines for the "historical understanding of China and Japan", the research topic of the second phase of the research project. The symposium for writers of both China and Japan for the second phase of the research project is scheduled to be held on August 27 in Tokyo, Japan.
