Academic Seminar of PKU and Keio University

On the morning of November 6, 2020, the “Sino-Japanese Relations in World Politics” academic seminar co-sponsored by the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and the Japan Studies Platform Laboratory of Keio Research Institute at SFC (KRIS) was held online. The Japanese participants included Prof. Tomoki Kamo, Prof. Nakayama Toshihiro, and Prof. Jimbo Ken of the Faculty of Policy Management of Keio University. The Chinese participants included Associate Prof. Yu Tiejun and Associate Prof. Gui Yongtao, both Vice Presidents of the IISS, and Associate Prof. Jie Dalei of the School of International Studies, PKU. The two sides analyzed the prospects of the U.S. Presidential Election and Sino-U.S. relations, discussed the impact of COVID-19 and Sino-U.S. relations on Sino-Japanese relations in the new era, and conducted in-depth exchanges on the current security situation in the Asia-Pacific region.
