Academic Symposium on Historical Experience of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea Held in North Pavilion

On the morning of November 4th, 2020, the Academic Symposium on Historical Experience of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea was held in North Pavilion, hosted by the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). The participants included Prof. Shen Zhihua, Director of Center for Cold War International History Studies, East China Normal University, Researcher Fellow Zhang Baijia, Former Deputy Director of the Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, Prof. Niu Jun and Prof. Zhang Xiaoming, School of International Relations, PKU, Associate Prof. Niu Ke, Department of History, PKU, Associate Prof. Li Chen, School of International Relations, Renmin University of China, Researcher Fellow Zhang Tuosheng, Former Director of Academic Committee of China Foundation for International and Strategic Studies, Director of IISS, PKU. Prof. Wang Jisi, President of IISS, PKU, Prof. Yuan Ming, Vice President of IISS and President of Yenching Academy, PKU, Associate Prof. Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS, Associate Prof. Yu Tiejun and Gui Yongtao, Vice President of IISS and Associate Prof. Lei Shaohua, Special Research Fellow of IISS. They exchanged ideas on issues, such as situation study and judgment, decision-making, crisis management, war influence and international response related to the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and summarized the valuable experience from the war.
