Technological Decoupling between China and USA" held in North Pavilion

On June 24, 2019, the academic seminar on "The Possibility and Consequences of the Economic and Technological Decoupling between China and USA" was held in North Pavilion, Peking University. It was sponsored by the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and chaired by Prof. Wang Jisi, President of IISS. Guests included Wang Zhile, Director of Beijing New-century Academy on Transnational Corporations and Vice Chairman of National Enterprise Compliance Committee, Liu Yadong, the editor-in-chief of Science and Technology Daily, Zhu Qichao, Director of Institute of national security and military strategy of Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, National University of Defense and Technology and Research Follow of Strategic Studies on National Defense and Technology Think tank, Fang Xingdong, Founder and Chairman of China Cyberspace Think Tank, Xu Yurong, Vice President of China Cyberspace Think Tank, Prof. Zha Daojiong from the School of International Studies (SIS), PKU, Lei Shaohua, Senior Research Fellow of IISS, PKU and Assistant Professor of SIS, PKU, Sun Yilin, Vice Secretary-general of IISS, PKU and Dong Ting, Postdoctoral Student of SIS, PKU. The participants expressed their views and opinions on issues such as globalization of science and technology, Sino-U.S. trade war, Sino-U.S. technology war, possibility of technological decoupling and how China deals with these problems.
