On December 24, 2021, the academic seminar on the Evaluation of Russia’s Internal and Foreign Affairs in 2021 jointly organized by the Russian Research Center of Peking University（PKU）, the Center for Russian Studies of China Foreign Affairs University and the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University was held by video conference. 

A total of 20 famous domestic scholars in the field of Russian research attended the meeting. They came respectively from the following institutions: Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Fudan University, Renmin University of China, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Lanzhou University, Party School of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Beijing Normal University, Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), China University of Petroleum-Beijing (CUP), Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, China PLA National Defence University, Shaanxi Normal University, China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), PKU, etc. 

The participating scholars evaluated the new progress and impact of Russia's internal and foreign affairs in 2021 from the perspectives of Russian politics, economy, diplomacy and military affairs, and looked at the  trend of the development of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.

The academic seminar was co-hosted by Prof. Tan Jijun of the Institute of International Relations (IIR), CFAU, and Associate Professor Guan Guihai, Director of Russian Research Center, PKU, and Executive Vice President of IISS, PKU.
