On Jan. 31, 2019, the 2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, edited by university of Pennsylvania was released simultaneously in more than 100 cities all over the world. Among the 100 best global think tanks, 7 of them are from China, namely China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) (ranked 30th), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) (ranked 39th), China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) (ranked 51st), Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) (ranked 60th), Institute of International and Strategic Studies, Peking University (IISS, PKU) (ranked 81st), Center for China and Globalization (CCG) (ranked 94th), and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies(SIIS) (ranked 96th).
