Seminar on “The Current State and Future Development of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict” Held at the North Pavilion

On the afternoon of November 27, 2024, the academic seminar titled “The Current State and Future Development of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict,” jointly organized by the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS, PKU) and the Center for Contemporary Russian Studies at Peking University, was held at the North Pavilion.

Experts attending the seminar included:

Li Yongquan, Director of the Institute of Eurasian Social Development at the Development Research Center of the State Council; Liu Huaqin, Researcher at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Commerce; Xiao Bin, Researcher at the Institute of Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Xu Poling, Director of the Russian Economy Division at the Institute of Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Xu Changzhi, Deputy Secretary-General of the High-Level Think Tank for China-Russia Strategic Cooperation; Feng Yujun, Professor in the Department of History, Peking University; Dai Weijing, Assistant Professor at the School of International Studies, Peking University; The participating experts engaged in in-depth and active discussions on issues such as the current situation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the impact of U.S. and European policy developments on the future of the conflict, and the conflict's effect on Russia's economic development.

The seminar was moderated by Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS, PKU.
