On the evening of November 18, 2025, Dr. Scott Kennedy, Senior Adviser and Trustee Chair in Chinese Business and Economics at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), visited the Institute for International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU).

The symposium with Dr. Scott Kennedy was attended by the following scholars from PKU: Professor Yu Tiejun, President of IISS; Associate Professor Gui Yongtao, Vice President of IISS; Assistant Professor Liu Lu at the School of International Studies (SIS); Associate Professor Niu Ke at the Department of History; Prof. Wang Yong at SIS; Associate Professor Wu Bingbing, Senior Research Fellow at IISS and faculty member of the School of Foreign Languages; Associate Professor Zhang Ran at the School of Education; and Zhao Jianwei, Postdoctoral Researcher and Assistant Research Fellow at SIS.

The symposium was chaired by President Yu Tiejun. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on issues including China's economic development and China-U.S. relations.
