Professor Jessica Chen Weiss and Delegation from Johns Hopkins University Pay a Visit to IISS, PKU

On the morning of July 22, 2025, a three-member delegation visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). The delegation consisted of Professor Jessica Chen Weiss, Scholar of China Studies at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University; Assistant Professor Gloria Xiong, Department of Government, Colby College and Brian O’Keefe, Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government, Cornell University. The following Chinese scholars had a dialogue with them: Professor Yu Tiejun, President of IISS, PKU; Professor Wang Jisi, Founding President of IISS, PKU; Jie Dalei, Special Research Fellow at IISS and Associate Professor at the School of International Studies (SIS), PKU; Li Chen, Special Research Fellow at IISS and Associate Professor at the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China; Professor Xie Tao, Dean of the School of International Relations and Diplomacy, Beijing Foreign Studies University; Huang Jing, Research Fellow at the Institute of European Studies, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR); Shao Xinyu, Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of American Studies, CICIR; Hu Ran, Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS); and Zhao Jianwei, Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Research Fellow at SIS, PKU. Both sides exchanged views on topics such as China–U.S. relations and American perceptions of China.
