​Experts from the Geneva Centre for Security Policy Visit IISS, PKU

On the morning of December 11, 2024, experts from the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and attend a discussion titled “China’s Engagement in International Mediation: Promoting Peace and Managing Conflict.”

Participants included: Thomas Greminger, Executive Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP); Linda Maduz, Head of Asia Programme at GCSP; Alexandra Matas, Head of the Global Fellowship Initiative and International Security Dialogue at GCSP; Wang Zheng, Director of the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at Seton Hall University and the Boeing Visiting Chair in International Relations at the Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University; Zhou Bo, Research Fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy, Tsinghua University; Liang Yabin, Professor at the Institute for International Strategic Studies, the Party School of the Communist Party of China Central Committee; Li Chen, Vice Dean of the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China; Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS, PKU; Gui Yongtao, Vice President of IISS, PKU; Associate Prof. Li Tingting at the School of Foreign Languages, PKU; and Assistant Prof. Lv Xiaoyu at the School of International Studies, PKU.

The experts engaged in in-depth discussions on the issues related to the security landscape in Europe and Northeast Asia, as well as China’s role in promoting international peace.
