​Kaitaro Nonomura, Minister Counsellor of the Japanese Embassy in China, Visits IISS, PKU with his escort

On the morning of May 27, 2024, Mr. Kaitaro Nonomura, Minister of the Political Section of the Japanese Embassy in China, and Mr. Shigekazu Bojo, Third Secretary, visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). They held exchanges with Prof. Wang Jisi, Founding President of IISS, on topics such as China's diplomacy and China-Japan relations.


Minister Nonomura emphasized that Japan-China economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people interactions are crucial components of bilateral relations. He expressed hope for the further resumption of economic and trade cooperation and the continuation of the high-level dialogue between the two countries. Prof. Wang Jisi expressed his wish to enhance people-to-people exchanges between China and Japan to promote the stability and development of bilateral relations.
