On April 3, 2024, Michael McFaul, a professor of political science at Stanford University and Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). He had exchanges with Prof. Yu Tiejun, President of IISS and Prof. Wang Jisi, Founding President of IISS. Their discussions covered topics related to McFaul's upcoming book, relevant issues in Cold War history, U.S.-China academic exchanges, current U.S.-China relations, and regional hot topics. Research Assistants Chen Danmei and Ma Li’ao from IISS attended the meeting.
