On April 13th, 2023, Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, former U.S. Secretary of State, met with Mr. Wang Jisi, Professor of the School of International Studies (SIS) and Founding President, the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). Both sides had a thorough and friendly exchange of views on the international situation and Sino-U.S. relations. Dr. Kissinger presented his new book on world leaders to Prof. Wang.

Dr. Kissinger will be 100 years old on May 27th this year. Prof. Wang Jisi presented a letter to him that was written by Prof. Hao Ping, Director of the Academic Committee, PKU. On behalf of Prof. Hao and Academician Gong Qihuang, President of PKU, Prof. Wang congratulated Prof. Kissinger on his 100th birthday and presented him with a photo album capturing his various visits to PKU as a gift.

Hu Ran, a doctoral student at SIS, PKU, attended the meeting.
