In the afternoon of April 15, 2016, Prof. Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), met with Prof. Peter Nolan, the notable British economist and Director of the Center of Development, University of Cambridge. Prof. Guan presided over the symposium. IISS scholars, such as Gui Yongtao, Hu Bo, Chen Shaofeng and Lei Shaohua, also attended the meeting. The particapants of the meeting discussed a large range of issues, such as the competetive economic cooperation between China and the West, the history of China’s foreign relations and the Asian-Pacific status quo.
