On June 23rd, 2016, Arima Yutaka, Director of the First China and Mongolia Division at Asian and Oceania Affairs Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) with his escort including his assistant Junichi Inoue. Wang Jisi, President of IISS, Gui Yongtao and Chen Changwei, associate professors of the School of International Studies (SIS), had lunch with the Japanese guests. The participants of the meeting discussed varied topics, e.g. current situations of the Sino-Japan Relations, potential Sino-Japanese partnerships in different fields, and the pngoing U.S. presidential election, etc.
