On May 30 and 31, 2016, Dai Bingguo, former State Councilor, Honorary President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) paid a visit to Moscow to attend the international symposium on “Russia and China: Moving Forward to A New Relationship” and delivered a speech. Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS accompanied him to attend the symposium and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Favorable Conditions and Unfavorable Factors for China-Russia Cooperation in Education”. 

The symposium was hosted by the Foreign Ministry of Russia and the China-Russia Committee of Peace, Friendship and Development and organized by Russian Council for International Affairs. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov addressed the meeting. This event has been the second session since the meeting mechanism was launched in May 2015.
