Assistant President Guan Guihai Goes to Tashkent for SCO Forum

Appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), attended the 12th meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Forum in Tashkent on May 11th and 12th, 2017. He gave a speech entitled “the Opportunity and Prospect for India and Pakistan to Join SCO”. Serving as a dialogue mechanism between think tanks of SCO member countries, this forum is held before the SCO Heads of State Summit every year. The leading think tanks in the member countries host the forum in turns. Since 2006, it has been hosted annually for 12 years. This year, it was hosted by the Institute of Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
