On Dec 16, 2022, Prof. Wang Jisi, Founding President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and Professor at the School of International Studies (SIS), PKU, attended the third plenary session of the CSIS-Chumir Global Dialogue on Strategic Competition and the Future of the World Order.
The CSIS-Chumir Global Dialogue (https://chumirglobaldialogue.csis.org) is a long-term dialogue project co-hosted by Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Chumir Foundation for Ethics in Leadership, aimed at developing better principles for global governance and a shared vision for a more stable, prosperous and fair world order. Henry Kissinger, Former US Secretary of State is engaged as the strategic adviser of this project, John Hamre, President of CSIS and Joel Bell, Chairman of Chumir Foundation for Ethics in Leadership as executive chairmen. The committee of this project consists of 27 members from 16 countries, including the United States, China, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Egypt, Liberia, Israel, Mexico, and Costa Rica. The Chinese members are Fu Ying, Former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, P.R.C, Fu Chengyu, Former Chairman of Sinopec Group and Wang Jisi.
Henry Kissinger delivered a keynote speech at the event. The two topics of the dialogue were the Ukraine conflict and current China-U.S. relations. Wang Jisi was invited to make a key speech on China-U.S. relations.
