On June 24, 2022, the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and the Korea Foundation (KF) co-organized the first round of annual bilateral video dialog between Chinese and Korean scholars. Chinese scholars were from institutions such as China University of Political Science and Law, Huaqiao University, University of Macau and PKU, while South Korean scholars were from institutions such as Dongduk Women's University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

The dialog was presided over by Guan Guihai, Executive Vice President of IISS, PKU. Prof. Lee Hee Ok, Director of the Sungkyun Institute of China Studies, Sungkyunkwan University, and Li Tingting, Associate Professor of the School of Foreign Languages, PKU, all of whom respectively delivered introductory speeches. Scholars from both countries held heated discussions and exchanges on the issues of "Prospects for Sino-South Korean Relations after the South Korean Election".

The dialog is part of series of events under the 2022 "China New Generation Policy Experts Network Forum" supported by the KF.
