The articles for the first issue of China International Strategy Review (CISR), an English periodical hosted by the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU) and published by Springer Nature, have been gradually published online. The first issue of CISR focused on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-U.S. relations, and invited experts and scholars from China, the United States, India, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries to deeply analyze and interpret the history and status quo of Sino-U.S. relations from the perspectives of politics, security, economy, trade, science and technology. It also included 4 introductions of new books, focusing on the updated international research achievements in areas like international security and strategy, international political economy, global governance and Middle Eastern studies. All articles will be released online in the near future. Printed editions will be published later.
CISR is planned to be published twice a year, positioned to publish works that discuss major international strategic issues and have important policy and academic significance. Its second issue for 2019 will be themed "Lessons of the Cold War and Great Power Competition". The academics and politicians engaged in the research related to China's international strategy are cordially welcome to contribute the articles which will be double-blind peer reviewed according to the international academic standards and published if they are evaluated as excellent.
