JIA Qingguo

Jia Qingguo is Professor and former Dean of the School of International Studies at Peking University, where he also directs the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding and the Center for Global Governance. He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University and has taught at the University of Vermont, Cornell, UC San Diego, the University of Sydney, and Peking University. He has held fellowships at Brookings, Stanford, and the University of Vienna. Jia is a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee and Vice President of the Chinese American Studies Association, the China International Relations Studies Association, and the Chinese Japanese Studies Association. His research focuses on U.S.–China relations, cross-Strait relations, Chinese foreign policy, and Chinese politics.
