Wang Honggang is Director of the Institute of Peaceful Development at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and a Research Fellow and doctoral supervisor. He previously served as Vice President of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations. His research focuses on U.S. domestic and foreign policy, China–U.S. relations, and international strategy and national security issues. He is the author of several monographs, including World Trends 2050, Great Power Competition 2050, The Dynamics 2050, and On China's Economy.
