WANG Jisi

Wang Jisi is Founding President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS) at Peking University, serving as its president from 2013 to 2022. He is a Peking University Boya Chair Professor Emeritus and honorary president of the Chinese Association for American Studies. He has held visiting fellow and professor positions at Oxford University, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, Claremont McKenna College, and Princeton University. Wang taught at Peking University's Department of International Politics, served as Director of the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and was Dean of Peking University's School of International Studies. He also directed the Institute of International Strategic Studies at the Central Party School and served on China's Foreign Ministry Foreign Policy Advisory Committee. His research focuses on U.S. foreign policy, China's foreign relations, and Asian security, and he has published extensively in these fields.
