YUAN Ming

Yuan Ming is currently the Honorary Dean of Yenching Academy of Peking University and a Professor at the School of International Studies at Peking University. She was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley (1983–1985) and a Senior Associate Member at St. Antony's College, Oxford (1989–1990). Since 1994, she has been invited to conduct research at the Carter Center, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. She was a frequent speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Trilateral Commission, the Club of Rome, and the Aspen Workshop on World Economy. She published A History of International Relations (1648–1989) and is co-editor of Sino-American Relations 1945–1955 with Harry Harding, and The Golden Age of U.S.-China-Japan Relations with Ezra Vogel and Tanaka Akihiko. She was a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (1998–2012) and its Foreign Relations Committee.
