Robert D. BLACKWILL

Robert D. Blackwill is the Henry A. Kissinger senior fellow for U.S. foreign policy at the Council on Foreign Relations, and a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Blackwill served as deputy assistant to the president and deputy national security advisor for strategic planning under President George W. Bush, and U.S. ambassador to India from 2001 to 2003. His latest book co-authored with Richard Fontaine is Lost Decade: The US Pivot to Asia and the Rise of Chinese Power (Oxford University Press, June 2024). His best-selling book, Lee Kuan Yew: The Grand Master's Insights on China, the United States, and the World (MIT Press, February 2013), coauthored with Graham Allison has sold over 300,000 copies.
