LI Wei

Li Wei is currently a Professor and Associate Dean at the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China (RUC). He also serves as a Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU). He has been a visiting scholar at the Asia Paciffc Center for Security Studies (APCSS), Cornell University, Japan's Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) and Free University of Berlin. His main academic expertise includes International Political Economy, American Political Economy, Economic Diplomacy and Global Governance. He is the author of Battles for International Institutions: the Sino-US Relations in the Era of Strategic Competition (2017), Balancing Against the U.S. Dollar: Political Leadership and the Rise of Currency (2015), and Institutional Change and US International Economic Policies (2010).
