Zhu Yinghung has a B.A. degree from Fudan University in China (1967) and a M.A. degree from Stanford University in US (1983). He joined China Daily in 1981 and served as the editor-in-chief of China Daily between 1993 and 2004. He was once a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Tenth National People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), member of the Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, vice chairman of the China Pacific Economic Cooperation National Committee, member of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, and professor at Tsinghua University and China Communication University. He now serves as the editor-in-chief emeritus of China Daily Newspaper Group, and special advisor to China-US Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).
