Wang Jisi is Founding President of the Institute of the International and  Strategic Studies at Peking University, Peking University Boya Chair  Professor Emeritus, Professor in the School of International Studies at  Peking University, and honorary president of the Chinese Association  for American Studies. Professor Wang's scholarly interests cover U.S.  Foreign Policy, China’s Foreign Relations, and Asian Security. He has  published numerous works in these fields. Wang Jisi served as director  of the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social  Sciences from 1991 to 2005, and then he was dean of the School of  International Studies at Peking University until 2013. From 2001 to 2009,  he was concurrently director of the Institute of International Strategic  Studies of the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China, and  served as a member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee of China’s  Foreign Ministry from 2008 to 2016.
