Yuan Ming is currently Council Advisor of the Institute of International  and Strategic Studies, Honorary Dean of Yenching Academy, and  Professor at the School of International Studies at Peking University.  She had been senior visiting scholar at the Carter Center, the Carnegie  Endowment for International Peace and the Brookings Institution in  Washington D.C. Yuan Ming was a member of CPPCC (Chinese People’s  Political Consultative Conference) from 1998 to 2012 and also a member  of its Foreign Relations Committee. She sits on the Board of a number of  institutions in China. She was also the trustee of the Asia Society in New  York (1998—2004). In 2004, she joined the International Advisory Board  of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. In 2007, she joined the  Board of the United Nations Foundation.
