Dr. R.M. Marty M. Natalegawa served as Foreign Minister of the Republic of Indonesia between 2009 - 2014. He currently, inter alia, serves as a member of the United Nations Secretary-General’s High Level Advisory Board on Mediation and the United Nations President of the General Assembly’s Team of External Advisors. He began his career with the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 1986. As Foreign Minister, he oversaw Indonesia’s emergence as a regional power with global responsibilities. In November 2012, he was made Honourary Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (KCMG) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
