Member of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee, Air Marshal, and former Deputy Commander of the air force. He graduated from Jilin University and the PLA Military Academy. In 1998, he was PRC defense attaché in Egypt. In 2000 Chen Xiaogong served as PRC defense attaché to Washington. Chen Xiaogong was appointed as a deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Offi ce under the Central Committee. In 2006 he became the Minister of the General Staff Intelligence Department of the People's Liberation Army. In 2007, he was Assistant Chief of the General Staff of the PLA. He was appointed as Deputy Commander of the Air Force in 2009. He was a deputy to the 11th and 12th National People's Congress. Since 2013, he has been a member of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee.
