On June 8th and 9th 2015, the second International Symposium of Trilateral Strategic Cooperation among China, Russia and the US: Responsibility, Opportunity and Challenge was co-sponsored at Northern Pavilion, Peking University by Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), Peking University (PKU), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and America Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Wang Jisi, IISS President, Prof. Yuan Ming, IISS Vice President and Guan Guihai, IISS Executive Vice President and other scholars and experts from China, Russia and the US, in the total number of 20, gathered at the conference to make a dialogue and discussion on trilateral relations among China, Russia and the US, international order and other related issues.

The conference was divided into five sessions: the first, “New and Old Rules in International Order”; The second: “Energy Security in Asia-Pacific Area”; The third: “Asia-Pacific Security Mechanism”; The fourth, “Security and Development in Afghan and Central Asia Area”, and the fifth: “Deliberation on Powerful Nations’ Responsibilities for Crisis Management and Control by Learning the Instance of Ukraine Crisis and ISIS problem”. Scholars and experts from the three countries expressed their respective opinions on the current international order and Asia-Pacific area situation in exchange for different perspectives on cooperative potentials and conflict possibility among the three nations in addition to their thoughts about disputes over crisis management and control and improving relationship. Participants agreed that China, Russia and the US could undertake the responsibility for accelerating world’s peace, stability and development through forming collaborative habits, conducting thinking in another’s shoes, increasing mutual trust and looking for consensus.
