On December 11, 2014, Dr. Richard N.Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relation (CFR), paid a visit to the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS) and acted as a major speaker at the luncheon which was hosted by. Yu Tiejun, Assistant President of IISS and Associate Professor of School of International Studies (SIS), Peking University (PKU). Other participants included Prof. Wang Jisi, President of the IISS, Prof. Zhang Xiaoming, Prof. Wang Yong and Prof. Zhang Haibin from SIS, PKU, Prof. Wu Bingbing from the School of Foreign Languages, PKU, Jie Dalei and Chen Changwei, Assistant Professor from SIS,PKU, Lei Shaohua, Xu Gang and Wu Xiangning, researchers from IISS, Associate Prof. Zhao Kejin from the Institute of International Studies (IIS), Tsinghua University (THU), Post-doctoral Researcher Cheng Chunhua and Dr. Ma Yan from SIS, PKU, as well as Assistant Professor Wu Shengqi from Beijing Foreign Studies University. The attendees not only had discussions on the establishment of world order, the future of Sino-US relation and the role that China will play on the international stage, but they also exchanged opinions on the gains and losses of American diplomatic polices.
